Clear your calendar! Join yoga teachers Diane Duane and Emily Walkup for the Montreat Yoga Retreat Fall 2016! Friday October 28th-Sunday October 30th: an extraordinary weekend of yoga in a magical setting with a wonderful community! Come one, come all, bring a guest, and get ready to relax and rejuvenate.

About the experience:

Arrive Friday as early as 3:00 pm

Enjoy an introductory yoga session and dinner in Reynolds lodge

Awake on Saturday to the morning yoga practice of your choice

Treat yourself to a healthy lunch with your yoga community and then take a guided hike on the Montreat grounds.

Luxuriate in an afternoon yoga practiceand then explorethe local area for dinner on your own.

Gather on Sunday for another rejuvenating and restorative yoga practice and return to your home relaxed, refreshed and ready for the coming months!

 

 

   double occupancy early bird $249 – before July 31st

   single occupancy early bird $279

   double occupancy Aug 1 or later $279

*non-refundable deposit of $75 due at time of registration, balance due Oct 15th.

Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast will be provided for those staying in Reynolds Lodge.  If you have made other arrangements for accomodations but would like to eat with the group please let us know.

 

Refund policy will be the same for all registrants.

60+ days from retreat 1/2 of balance will be refunded

30 – 60 days from retreat 1/3 refund

less than 30 days – no refunds

(in extreme unforeseeable circumstances refunds will be made at organizers’ discretion)

 

 

About the Yoga:

Registration includes 4 yoga sessions – (Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning)  Gentle/Restorative will be offered at all sessions.  Vigorous Vinyasa will be offered Saturday and Sunday.  New to yoga?  We will guide you into a safe and rewarding practice!

 

About Montreat:

Montreat is located in the Western North Carolina mountains 18 miles east of Asheville.  You will discover stillness, quiet and connection with nature in abundance. Even just a few days' escape to the mountains rejuvenates and soothes the soul. Everything moves at a slower pace in the cozy, secluded town where streams and trails compliment the beautiful weather!

 

About the leaders:

Emily is an avid seeker, yoga student and teacher, and Reiki practitioner with a deep passion for helping others. She considers herself a student OF life FOR life and prefers the road less traveled. She is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) and currently teaches at multiple locations in the Atlanta area.Emily is passionate about healthy living and pursuing whole body, mind and soul wellness. It is important to her that yoga be accessible to everyone; she is humbled and blessed to be a community partner of the Yoga and Body Image Coalition. More recently, she became a certified Y12SR (Yoga for 12-Step Recovery) leader under Nikki Myers. Having experienced the positive transformative effects of yoga firsthand, she aims to bring that same sense of wholeness and balance between effort and ease to her students.

 

Diane isE-RYT-200 certifiedby Yoga Alliance.   Since September of 2013 Diane has accumulated over 1000 hours of teaching experience in her private home studio and group studio settings.  Recently, she has been a guest teacher for The Pulse on Tour, North Point Fitness in Alpharetta, GA and Rapid Results Personal Training in Marietta, GA.  Her continuing education credits include Yoga as Therapy with Doug Keller, Mindfulness and Yoga for Adolescents and Youth, and Yoga for Trauma.  Holistic wellness is her passion. Diane is most interested in serving individuals and their particular needs. She believes that people who are well in mind, body and spirit best serve themselves and others.  Diane also holds a MA in Theological Studies and a BFA in Dance Performance.  She offers personalized instruction of Hatha yoga with an emphasis on proper alignment. Vinyasa flow is her favorite style!
